The first device didn't work, but as I read online to try right at the counter, I could get a new one, which worked without problems. The battery went done to 30-40% within 4-5 hours, I used it for maps most of the time. I'll use pocket wifi again, it's very convenient.

The pocket WiFi was the best investment during my 2 week stay in Japan. Rarely did I have any connection issues where ever I was and the pocket WiFi maintained always 4-5 bars on my IPhone. Plus, I had 3 other people connected at all times without anny issue. A full charge on your Pocket WiFi lasted about 8 hours and the battery pack included would give you another quick charge so you can keep connected. When I plan to return to Japan this pocket WiFi will be my go to for continuous internet WiFi connectivity.
