My iPhone doesn’t support eSIM so I always rent pocket WiFi.
The location was bit hard to find (you have to walk a bit), but once you find it, picking up is very easy process.
They provide everything in one bag. Pocket WiFi came with charging bank, cable and outlet.
It also came with return envelope for easy drop off at the airport.

I would recommend this for anyone and it can save you $$$ as long as you reserve it ahead of time.

My husband and I recently visited Japan and needed an easy way to be able to use our phones on the go. We are from the USA and do not have "unlocked" iPhones since we bought them through our carrier.

So, we left our phones on airplane mode during our trip and used the pocket WiFi from Japan Wireless to help us stay connected. It worked perfectly, had great speeds, and was exactly what we needed. 10/10 would do this again!

Wifi service is very good. It has service all over Japan. I went to Japan multiple times and this is the wifi I always use.

Japan Wireless provided me with the experience I needed while visiting. Most other wireless providers have daily data caps that usually lead to issues for me and my group. While the speeds were nothing crazy (20 up and down), not having that speed bottleneck after a few gigs really made a huge difference. If you’re looking for something consistent, easy to use, and for an all around great price per day; this is definitely the best option.
