My daughter and I travelled to Japan together for 2 weeks. The international data with our phone company would have been 18.00 a day! I had to find an alternative. So searching the web I found Japan Wireless. I was nervous about using them, like how hard was it going to be able to find them, could I find a drop off place easily, would it consistently work the whole time? Well, everything was easy about it! And, we never had any issues with connections. It worked flawlessly. I would highly recommend!

Ordered after arrival in Tokyo. Delivery to hotel was earlier than expected. Very easy to use. Posted from hotel before departure, recieved e mail to confirm receipt. Would definitely use again.

this was a great option when travelling and staying together. we were able to have 2 phones and an ipad all connected, making video chats back home easy from any location we travelled.

I am from the Philippines and my family has been using Japan Wireless since 2014 and we are very happy with the quality of the units being sent to us every time we are in Japan. It's very easy to use and convenient whenever we go home as we just have to mail the unit back.

Their pocket wifi units are reliable and provide good internet speed to us who simultaneously have at least 5 phones / tablets. I also liked how they add another battery pack to give us extra juice on an extremely busy day of sightseeing and shopping. Will continue to use them in the foreseeable future. Thank you!

Pocket wifi worked fine and was reliable. The battery held up pretty good and didn't find a need to use the spare battery. Note - we did charge up the pocket wifi at night to start at 100% every morning.

The mail drop off return at the airport was easy!

Could be better:
- the lineup to pickup the pocket wifi at the ABC counter at Narita was quite long and moved quite slow (maybe just bad timing/luck)
- overall, I found the speeds quite slow. It's ok for google maps and any quick google search. But found IG to be pretty slow - I switched to my hotel wifi once I was back in my hotel for faster speeds.

Recommend on getting this for an Japan trip

It was not 5G all the time as in cases when we were underground it was 4G. For our 4G service, we noticed it would go from 4G to LTE. But it was honestly fine for what we needed which was navigation, music, YouTube, Google, Google Maps, Suica and running other applications. Would get again and would recommend. It does the job!

Easy pick up and drop off. Seamlessly connected to iPhone. Great service.
