The eSIM was the best option for us. I added it to my phone the day we arrived in Japan and never had any issues. If my husband needed internet, he could spot my phone, and we never had any issues. We never had any issues with connection even when my husband spotted me. Highly recommend this option.

Easy and secure access to wifi is important when traveling and Japan Wireless is a great company to work with. Battery life was great so I didn’t need the provided power bank. Simple to use and to share with a few traveling companions. I would use them again.

eSim activation was quite easy to be done using the airport's Wifi. It works as expected, but inside some buildings, internet is a bit weak, not sure if it's the same for others, but once you're out of the premise, internet is really all well.
