Avis

As an American visiting Japan, Verizon's TravelPass daily rate is $10/day for Japan and would have cost $140 for our 2 week trip. This solution from Japan Wireless was 12,560 yen, which at the time was $80.32. Great little pocket router. Always got a good signal. Liked the self-addressed prepaid envelope that came with it; just dropped it in a Japan Post box on the way to the airport. Definitely needed the battery pack that came with the router as the router's battery went to zero about 3-5 pm. My only complaint was that the router's screen was microscopic to read but that was a minor irritant compared to the savings. (I read about this solution in "Fodor's Essential Japan" travel guide.)

Super easy pick up and drop off. Reliable service but super speed internet! Happy worh my choice.

The hardware worked nicely all along our trip. Fast wifi and useful in every locations.

Efficient product and efficient delivery/return procedure!
