It was very easy to pick up my wireless unit at the airport and it allowed me access right away so I could navigate the Tokyo transit hassle free. I was in Japan for 12 days and had wi-fi everywhere I went with this device. It was so extremely convenient and handy. The battery pack that came with it also saved me a few days as it charged my phone when I was on the go!

East to use, convenient and cheap!

I've used Japan Wireless many times now because although my US-based phone does include international service, having a portable wifi router fills in the gaps when my cellular carrier isn't enough. This is especially useful when using maps because you really need a faster connection that my international service can't always provide. Pick up and drop off is really easy, and I have used the delivery service as well. I've used other pocket wifi services and found that for the price and data transfer speed, Japan Wireless is the best deal. Customer support is also excellent! I've had quick responses to emailed inquiries with no communication issues.

The pocket WiFi was waiting for me at my hotel when I checked in. Setting it up with my and my partner’s devices was a breeze. We charged the device every night and it never failed us. Return was simple, mailing it back in the post envelope provided. Highly recommend!

This service and device are great to have, especially when you're not in an area with free wifi. Follow the instructions for the return process (and make sure the charging block is flat inside the envelope lol) and it's a pretty seamless process.

I’m glad I found this service—it was super easy to use! If you don’t have an unlocked phone for an eSIM, a pocket WiFi is a great alternative. It’s simple to connect—just join the network. The unlimited data was a lifesaver since I used over 10GB in two weeks, especially when my partner’s eSIM wasn’t working he was able to connect. However, the WiFi was slow in crowded areas like Disney and Shibuya, and I experienced occasional disconnections in Tokyo. Pickup and return were quick and hassle-free. Highly recommend!
