Loved having wifi every where we went!

overall it was usable. But if I compare it to the portable wifi we used on our previous Tokyo trip? it is not as good. in our last trip the hotel let us carry with us as a portable device which provided reliable always connected wifi. this was much better.

Stayed within the Tokyo Metropolitan area and the device always had service. Extra battery was also useful for keeping it running for the entire day. Worked well with 2 devices accessing it at a time.

The premium wi-fi service worked almost everywhere we traveled in Japan. The speed was phenomenal, although the device was often being used by 3 individuals at a time. Pickup (Post Office at Narita) and return (any mailbox) were convenient with no waits.

I would definitely use this again on my text trip to Japan.

The second battery was unwieldy, but fortunately, we did not need to use it very often. Very handy to have with us throughout our visit to Japan. Great service being able to pick it up at our hotel and mail it back to you before leaving.

The pocket wi-fi available through Japan Wireless was brilliant value and incredibly easy to use. We had originally considered buying temporary sim cards for our trip to Japan, but the pocket wi-fi seemed more cost effective and easier to use.

Once it's switched on, you can use your phone without any hassle, and its also easy to make calls (inernational or otherwise) through whichever messaging app you prefer. The coverage for our Wi-Fi was great, and we had great signal for about 95% of our trip, which included journerys on the Tokyo Metro. The battery life was also amazing and lasted for the majority of the day (with continuous use between two people). We'd then charge it up in the evening. The extra battery pack supplied was also useful incase it began to run low while we were away from the hotel, but we mostly used that to keep our phones charged. The Wi-Fi was also quick enough for our needs, which included general internet use, google maps, streaming video, and the occassional upload/download.

Japan Wireless also made it easy to order, and we picked it up straight from Haneda Airport. At the end of the trip, all we had to do was put it into the pre-paid envelope, and drop it in a post box.

I really can't recommend this enough, as it took a lot of the stress out travelling by ensuring that we had constant reliable internet access without having to swap phones or simcards.

We did rent the wifi and everything, the wifi worked perfect during the holiday and it was very easy to get wifi on the airport working.

A must for travellers from the UK to dodge the high data charges on most contracts! Good for browsing and general connectivity but a struggle with larger data, streaming an d so on. Would recommend still, I will be purchasing again on the next visit...

Highly recommend Japan Wireless. It is reliable and in expensive and a must have for tourists getting around Japan

Absolutely no problems and a great connection. Sadly enough the battery runs out quite quickly but there is an external power bank provided with the device so that problem was easily resolved, even though I already had a bigger and better one myself!
