I had already checked how an eSIM worked prior to purchase. That said the instructions provided were very clear on what to do as well as what not to do until I was in country.

I have a VPN on my phone which it would not work with, aware this might happen.

To finish activation I needed to simply turn my phone on and off again, aware this may be required though.

Service throughout my stay has been consistent, with strong signal even when on the Metro which I was impressed with. Would purchase again.

I requested that the pocket wifi to be sent to my hotel. When I checked in at the hotel, the package was there and it was really easy to connect.

The battery lasted the entire day without any issues. This is a good thing to have around when you are visiting Japan.
