essential for traveling in japan

We used this pocket wifi to travel in Japan, use google maps and other apps. The coverage was great! We never had any issues. However, always be prepared and have extra cables around! The cable from our pocket wifi didn't work for 50% of the time, meaning we thought we had charged the pocket wifi but it was empty when we wanted to head out. I swapped the charging cable and then it was fine. I think this is partly the responsibility of Japan Wireless, but also yourself. Be prepared for these things!

It was very convenient and helpful during my stay in Japan. The reasons why it is not 5 stars is because the pocket-wifi had some small problems at times. Like overheating, losing connection and needing me to take it out of my bag and take it out of sleep mode to re-connect.
These problems were not persistent but did occur around 10 times during my 3,5 weeks in Japan.

Good coverage, didn't even end up using the daily data limit. Very good!

We hired the Wifi device for 3 weeks. The overall experience was perfect. The power bank was very handy and in our opinion necessary, because the battery of the Wifi device was empty after 3 hours of not very intensive usage of data. The pickup and return were fast and easy.

It was very convenient to be connected via Japan Wireless.
Never had any problems during our three week trip through Japan.
Fine forwarding with power through the power bank provided with it.
Super product. Will definitely recommend it.
