I traveled for 17 days in Japan and I needed data for my cellphone but an e-sim was not an option for me, so I came across with the pocket wifi and I really recommend Japan Wireless, I didn't had any trouble, was very easy to use. The only thing is that the battery runs out quick, which is normal if you use it all day, but they provide you with a power bank; it is not the most convenient because you have to carry one more thing in your bag, but I had I big bag anyways so it was ok. Overall, I have no bad comments, it worked perfectly and it was really helpful during my stay in Japan.
