For my first experience with Japan Wireless pocket wifi, I was very impressed with the customer service and the pocket wifi. I arrived in Tokyo but ended my trip in Naha Okinawa. Pick up was located conveniently right outside the arrival gate at Narita. The package came with everything I need plus instructions on how to connect, use, and return the device. The data was fast, even in smaller cities like Kochi. I will definitely be using Japan Wireless again on my next trip to Japan.

So convenient. I was referred from a friend and my daughter suggested that I get a pocket wifi. I didn’t fine the pick place at first but the counter help was helpful. You don’t know how much you miss wifi until you don’t have it. Having you device is worry free. Return / Drop off was a breeze.

We rented two pocket wi-fi from Japan Wireless for six of us traveling in Japan. They worked well, as advertised, without interruption of service. The only problem was finding a mailbox at the airport to return the wi-fi’s.

I was debating on getting the pocket wifi or eSim. Since I traveled with a group and some of their phones plans for international pass was very expensive nor did their phone were compatible for eSIM, it was clear getting the pocket wifi made sense since we mainly were together the entire trip. For unlimited data and not have to worry about going over your data plan was a no brainer. Tip of advice, carry a charger for the pocket wifi. The battery does drain if you're frequently using it or have other people connected.
