I've used Japan Wireless on my last two multi-week trips to Japan and I have nothing but good things to say about their service. On my most-recent trip, I got a SIM Card for my iPhone SE. You can collect your connection device at the airport (Haneda Intl. in my case), follow the detailed instructions included in the package, and you'll be online in under 15 minutes.

I had no issues with coverage, and I went back and forth between Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka on this trip.

Price-wise, you would be very hard-pressed to find a better option for a two or three week trip. (I think I spent USD $45 for my three-week SIM Card.)

Just be aware that, with a SIM Card, you *do not get the ability to make calls*, but rather you just get 3G/4G internet access. (An invaluable resource though, especially for pulling up maps and checking on transit schedules.)

Supremely happy with my service, and Japan Wireless is my go-to service for internet / phone access whenever I visit the country.
