The connection was great almost everywhere I went, event in more remote locations in Hokkaido or Tohoku. Wi-Fi was fast and the unit's battery lasted the whole day without any problem! Even with my phone being connected all day with frequent use, battery never went under 30%.

The Data sim is working great. So wonderful to be able to search while out in and about in Japan. Worked in rural Mt. Koya. I have an iPhone X and the FaceTime (and sometimes iMessage too) did not work even when on WiFi. Not sure why. I got WhatsApp and that works to call and video chat to friends in Japan and USA. Using google maps takes lots of my battery. Pick up in Kansai airport was easy and so was activation. I would recommend using this sim.

I have used the prepaid SIM Data Card of Japan Wireless several times over the last years and on different model of smartphones. I never had a problem with them: good price, easy payment method, communicative costumer service, items arrived always on time and stable connection! I absolutely reccomend Japan Wireless!

I would’ve given this 5 stars if only it were exactly as it said it was. The device itself is somewhat different from the picture that is posted on their website. You see, I kinda chose this because it looked nice, but when I picked it up, I found that the device looks completely way off from their picture. It looked like their other pocket wifi offering - the Business WiFi. So I was disappointed, I’m not sure it was a mistake cause I clearly order the Premium Wi-Fi. Maybe there were multiple models of this device, the images of which were not included or posted in their website, nor was it stated in their product description. Regardless, the speed of the Wi-Fi was top notch, at least. However, I didn’t manage to get the specifics as I didn’t confirm it with an Internet Speed Test. At the very least, it was fast, and had a stable connection even when we were moving on the trains, located in remote areas, and also underground; hence, the 4 stars. My only concern was that I’m not sure if they sent me the wrong device or are they completely misleading us with how the product appears to be compared to what it actually looks like. Anyway, I still plan to order from Japan Wireless for any of my Wi-Fi needs whenever I return to Japan in the future. I will still recommend it to anyone who’s unsure of which Pocket Wi-Fi to choose for their trip to Japan.

No issues whatsoever- always online and the battery held all day!

I traveled through Japan for three weeks and visited Tokyo, Fukuoka, Beppu, Nagasaki, Naha and Miyakojima. There was excellent connection and speed anywhere I needed it. To be able to research sightseeing spots, use Google maps for orientation or stay in touch with friends and family made the trip even more pleasurable and convenient.

Wifi was great! when we weren't using it for on the spot gps directions, we used it to stream netflix when we had slow starts or late nights to the day

Unit was very easy to read and use, I just plugged it in when I returned from a day's sightseeing and let it charge all night and it stayed charged all day. I had no problems or issues with this unit.
