We’ve been to Japan a couple of times, and both times we’ve used this pocket WiFi. Without it, our trips would’ve been way more stressful. Easily picked it up at the airport and returned it to the post box on our way headed to security. If your phone plan doesn’t have reasonable rates for international WiFi, use this! The price is right, and the need for WiFi is real… figuring out train schedules and where to walk is a part of this travel. So unless you speak the language or know the area well enough, I would recommend this WiFi.

I used this for two weeks while visiting Japan and it worked perfectly. I traveled between Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka and never had any issues. It comes with a portable charger so if you run low you can charge it on the go

best travel mate in Japan - excellent solution if travelling in small group our with family so everyone can use wifi, as long as everyone is in same area or room - no need to buy local SIMcard with new phonenumber, you can just keep your own number which makes it much easier to communicate with friends and family in your own country- always good signal - the device was waiting at the reception of our first hotel as required - just send it back by post (for free) when leaving the country and that's it !
