Both times, the connection worked perfectly for the entire 30 days of my subscription.
The delivery to the hotel was smooth and on time.
The first time they didn't send me a tracking number, but the second time they did.

I rented 2 portable wifi routers for our group when in Japan. Preordering online and airport pickup were very simple. Set up was even easier than that! I love that Japan Wireless included a power bank as well, as we used our phones for navigating a lot, in Tokyo especially. Service was great everywhere (Tokyo to Osaka and the places in between). The only place we would temporarily not get great service was on some subways. However, once we stepped off the train onto the platform, service picked up within seconds. So, i would recommend taking a screen shot or not closing your app when you are on subways, if you need to check stops. This one thing wouldn't stop me from renting from Japan Wireless again though, when I return. Believe me, I'll be back. Japan is amazing!
