This would be my fourth rentals with Japan Wireless. They have been fairly reliable and great on the prices. The pocket WiFi worked well across Japan we traveled. Though I do wish it came with 5G would’ve made it extra nice, it still worked well. Just slower when multiple people are on it.

I had a pocket wifi for the whole family to connect their device. I usually don't want to connect to hotel internet for security reason and having the pocket wifi that is reliable is very useful in Japan.

I rented a pocket WiFi from Japan Wireless for my trip to Tokyo and surrounding areas (including Mt. Fuji): connection was always fast and stable.
By mistake, I ended up bringing the router back to Italy with me. I contacted their support worried about penalty fees, and they confirmed full coverage under the Premium Plan with no extra charges — friendly, quick, and professional.
Highly recommended, I'll definitely rent from them again on my next trip to Japan.

We got this for our 2 weeks trip to Japan. Worked flawlessly. Easy pick up at hotel and drop off at post box at airport. We ran into no issues at all. The unit did heat up a little bit if you have it in your backpack all day. Would use again when we travel to Japan!
