I recently visited Japan for 3+weeks. My cell phone provider in the USA wanted a lot of money for an international plan. So, I chose to use the service offered by Japan Wireless. I picked up the kit in the Nirata Airport. This kit consisted of a wireless hub, an extra battery, charging cable, a case, and a postage paid return envelope. When I picked it up I was advised that I needed to return the unit when I was finished with it at any Japan Post box. Thes boxes are everywhere in Japan, there is one of them BEFORE you reach the security area in the Narita terminal 1 (there are none after the security check point). The system was very easy to use, both me and my wife were able to connect our phones and tablets to it. The wireless hub is small, about the size of a deck of cards, so I could carry it with me in my pocket or backpack when we were out exploring. I was able to use the wireless to navigate using my cell phone and the data from Japan wireless. Also was able to send/receive email, upload photos, etc. Everything worked seamlessly. For part of our time we were on a cruise ship. While we could not use this system when the ship was away from shore, it automatically reconnected when we were in range. Even in Okinawa after 2 days at sea!
I returned the system vis Japan Post from a hotel in Tokyo just before leaving for the airport. When I returned home a day later, I already had confirmation from Japan Wireless that my system was returned. No hassles, not worries, and at a good price!

Solid performance throughout the 2 weeks. Seemless pick up / drop off process.

Used their premium pocket wi-fi for our 3 week trip to Japan. Worked flawlessly for the entire trip for the whole group no matter where we went or what we were doing. I highly recommend.

Delivered to my hotel. Worked a treat no issues had 3 devices hooked up to it daily. It easily lasted all day which is more than I can say about my phone. 100% recommend if you’re staying 21 days or longer.

Everything was excellent

Internet connection was largely available, fast and stable.

Voor ons verblijf van 1 maand waren wij op zoek naar "altijd" internet. Wij waren heel tevreden alleen mocht de powerbank wat krachtiger geweest zijn. Toch willen wij het iedereen aanraden.

The wifi device was very easy to collect at Narita T1, even 10pm. The service and wifi worked flawlessly throughout our travels across Japan including the Lake Kawaguchiko area. Also very simple to drop off at KIX. Simple and easy and without any problems. Will definitely use next time.
