Japan Wireless always has the best rates of any other providers. This is my first time using an eSIM, and it was easy to set up. However, there were a couple afternoons where the network became extremely slow, and I had not hit my data cap for that day. Small things like texts were ok. Navigating with map apps took a little longer. So it's a great value overall, but keep in mind outages happen sometimes.

My husband and I went to Tokyo, Kawaguchiko, Kyoto, Osaka, and to the mountains of Gifu. We had high-speed internet the WHOLE time. Will definitely avail of this service again!!!

Picking up from HND was very easy. Wifi supported 5 of us throughout our entire trip all streaming different things. Every once in a while it was a little bit slow, but it was probably the mountain area we were in or the tunnels. Returning was very easy, there's a post box right before you enter security and the envelope it comes with is all ready to go. Will definitely be getting the next time I travel with friends.

The device provided good wifi service throughout our trip in Japan.

April 2024, 4 of us used the pocket router for 2 weeks. We traveled from Tokyo to Osaka and in between. I keep the route on me will travel and had no issues. I do recommend you keep it fully charged if possible. The only issue was the spare battery that was provided would not charge and I couldn't use it. I had the router mailed to our hotel prior to our arrival in Narita. I highly recommend it.

Last month, I had the opportunity to use Japan Wireless for a pocket WiFi rental during my travels in Japan. Here's my comprehensive review based on my experience.

The process of picking up and returning the device was incredibly smooth. Conveniently located at the airport, the pickup counter was easy to find right after I landed. Similarly, returning the device was just as straightforward, making the whole experience hassle-free.

The WiFi device provided robust signal strength and extensive coverage throughout my travels. Whether I was in bustling city centers or more remote areas, the connectivity remained consistent and reliable, which was crucial for navigation and staying connected.

Battery Life:
One of the standout features of the Japan Wireless pocket WiFi was its impressive battery life. It lasted a full day on a single charge, from morning until bedtime, which is particularly advantageous for travelers who spend long days exploring.

Overall Experience:
Everything about the Japan Wireless service was perfect. The ease of the entire process, combined with the excellent performance of the device, made my travel in Japan much more enjoyable and stress-free. I highly recommend their services to anyone needing a reliable internet connection while traveling in Japan.
