Was in Japan for 2 weeks traveled to Kyoto , Tokyo, Osaka and I had full signal and unlimited as we’ll never had a problem for the device i had the portable wifi and I loved it and was super easy to return as well . Definitely recommend.:)

WiFi worked wonderfully and it lasted all day!

Delivery to hotel, 2 minutes to start up and connect, never any problems.
Second time I've used this service - the first time was on a cruise ship and I returned it via mail on a small island while going to Taiwan. The biggest challenge was finding a mail box!
I'll use this Company again in the future. Its been Flawless !

good service and coverage fine

For the most part, was very good to have especially navigating but still occasionally would lose connection or slow down. Some of those times very inconvenient but still was able to get us back to our hotel or to destinations.

I rented the mobile wi-fi for a 13 day family holiday with people and 6 devices between us. The cost for the rental with unlimited data was significantly less than buying e-sims with 10gb of data for each of the devices. Remember that if you are renting one for a group, when the group splits up you will have no data. What we did was to get the wi-fi unit and then an additional e-sim for 3 of the party. So one would always have the mobile unit and the other 3 would have an e-sim to use while separated. This proved the most cost effective solution as data usage is very heavy when using google or apple maps during all day sightseeing. In total we used around 80gb of data on the mobile unit plus another 10gb e-sim for the other 3 people.

I have rated this 4 out of 5 starts only because the mobile unit we received was quite old so the battery life was very short. Although the supplier also provide a small backup battery with a charging lead, I found the mobile unit and the small portable battery/charger did not last the full day if we were out all day. Fortunately I had another portable battery/charger of my own which I used to top up the mobile wi-fi.

I would certainly recommend Japan Wireless in terms of costs and coverage. We did not have a problem with signal during our visit and we travelled between Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka.
