I found this device invaluable while travelling in japan. it's important to take it out of the bag or put it on the outside to get best results.

Good coverage in the areas I went and on the Bullet train (Tokyo, Hakone, Osaka, Hiroshima, Kyoto) (did have to rest it against the window on the train to get best performance)

Highly recommend as this saved me hotspotting my phone and killing the battery.

Very good coverage overall, there was a time at Nagoya train station that it stopped working for 30mins but besides that was always very reliable. The power bank that came with it was very helpful and the way to give it back was very simple. We took it all the way to the airport and before security we just placed it on a mailbox.

Product was exactly as advertised and the price was good, delivery in hotel and drop off at the posto-box of the airport were simple.
I never needed to use the power bank even if I used the device for 11-12 hours every day.

best wireless unit ever

I was in Japan for work and the only place I really had Wi-Fi access was at my hotel. I spent less than around $89-$90 for 2 weeks of unlimited Wi-Fi. It was really helpful when using my google maps and translate. It was reliable, user friendly, and easy to pick up and return. Would 100% use this service again!

It's my second time using Japan Wireless pocket wifi and, again, I had zero problems. Easy to use, pick up and return. I will use it again in my next trip to Japan.

Everything from receiving the router to sending it back was extremely efficient. The instructions were clear, the data worked everywhere, and the speed was great. This contributed to my trip being amazing as I was able to communicate with my family even outside of free wifi zones.

Excellent coverage from Tokyo city to Kyushu island in the middle of the country side. The only thing was that I needed to purchase my own USB - B cord because the one my rental came with did not work so well.

Other than that, check your equipment before you leave the counter!
