Great coverage with Japan Wireless. I do wish the battery life lasted longer for the device - but I'm glad that I was provided the additional portable battery once the device started to drain. Overall - I love that I was able to have the device ready for me at my Hotel and I was provided a self addressed envelope to have mailed back on way out of the country. I have tried using eSims in the past (but for some reason - once I return to the US, I end up having issues switching back to my regular service). The mobile wifi is still the best option for me and I think Japan Wireless does a great job at providing stable wifi.

Our Japan SIM Card offers unlimited data for internet access throughout Japan. It does not support traditional voice calls or SMS.
Can I use Skype, LINE, Kakao talk, Viber or other VoIPs with a prepaid sim card in Japan?

Yes, you can. We recommend ordering the 5G Premium Plan SIM card which has unlimited data with no throttle limit allowing you to talk on the phone for a prolonged period of time.
Do you offer eSIM services?

Yes, we provide eSIM options in both 5G and 4G, allowing you to connect to the internet in Japan without needing a physical SIM card.
What network does the Prepaid SIM Card use?

Our SIM cards operate on the NTT Docomo and KDDI networks, ensuring extensive coverage and reliable connectivity throughout Japan.
Is the Prepaid SIM Card compatible with my cell phone?

Most cell phones do. Our SIM card is compatible with unlocked (SIM-free) devices.

How do I activate the Prepaid SIM Card?

Our Unlimited SIM card comes pre-activated. Simply insert it into your device upon arrival in Japan and configure the APN settings:

How can I check my data usage and remaining balance on my prepaid Unlimited SIM card?

After using 3GB of high-speed data per day, speeds may be reduced until midnight. To track your usage, we recommend using built-in data tracking features on your smartphone or third-party apps.

Android: Settings → Mobile Network → Mobile Data Data Usage

Will I experience any speed reductions?

4G/LTE Unlimited SIM Card: After using 3GB (FUP) of high-speed data per day, speed may be reduced until midnight.
5G Unlimited SIM Card: No speed reductions, No Data Caps.

My SIM card isn’t working. What should I check first?

Ensure your device is unlocked and supports Japan’s network frequencies.
Verify APN settings are correctly configured.
Restart your device after inserting the SIM.

What is your refund policy?

We do not offer refunds for issues arising from device incompatibility or incorrect device settings configuration. Please verify your device is unlocked and compatible before purchasing.
Can I extend or renew my SIM plan?

Our Japan Unlimited Prepaid SIMs are valid for a fixed period and cannot be extended. If you need more days, you can purchase an additional SIM card.
Can I return my Unlimited Data SIM card after use?

No, Japan Unlimited Prepaid SIM cards are for one-time use and do not need to be returned.
Can I use the SIM card (Standard/Premium) with my smartphone?

Device compatibility may vary depending on your smartphone model and settings.
We recommend contacting us via our Contact Us page before placing your order, so we can help confirm whether your device is compatible with our SIM cards.
How can I check if my smartphone is SIM-locked or SIM-unlocked?

The most reliable way to confirm your SIM-lock status is to contact the store or mobile service provider where you purchased your device.
You can try the following steps depending on your device:

<For iPhone users:>
Go to Settings > General > About > Carrier Lock
If it says "No SIM restrictions", your device is SIM-unlocked and can be used with our SIM cards.

<For Android users:>
The SIM-lock status is usually not visible in the settings. Please contact your carrier directly to confirm.
As a general guideline, if you have previously used a SIM card from another country or provider, your phone is likely to be SIM-unlocked and compatible with our SIM cards.
