It is true that it is unlimited but sometimes we experienced slow internet speed.

It was a hassle free transaction with Japan Wireless. I had them deliver the router at our hotel and it was there when we did our check it. Dont forget to send it back before you go to the immigration counters using the return envelope that came with it. Will definitely rent again when we come back to Japan.

Service was exceptional delivery as promised and was waiting at hotel on arrival. One query raised whilst in Japan and service teams response was quick and resolved issue.
We found this an indispensable item on our visit to Japan, making navigation and use of translation apps a breeze. No need to keep finding “free Wi-Fi”
Wi-Fi very stable and no drop outs, we ran five devices on the setup and all worked well.
My recommendation is use the portable Wi-Fi from Japan wireless and not go down the local sim route.

Counter associate was very helpful and friendly. The easiest pocket wi-fi I've ever used. I was able to mail it back and pickup at the airport. The wi-fi was great quality and the battery life was so good I didn't even need to use the power brick they included.

Worked well wherever we were in Fukuoka till Osaka.
