My go-to wifi every time I go to Japan! I have used more than 3x! Stay connected with Japan Wireless :)

The portable wifi unit was very easy to use, and extremely reliable in 95% of situations (even when we were staying in a monastery on top of a mountain). However, it was very patchy on the shinkansen (I presume because we were whizzing too quickly past the signal towers). The translator unit came very much in handy when we were in places that only had menus in Japanese - it was sometimes a little wonky, but it at least allowed us to understand what the options were.
