It works perfect and I had full support during my use.

No dramas. Got the unit delivered quickly to our stay's nearest post office. It works well, battery lasts a full day with 3 devices connected. I haven't used a power bank even once.

Pros:
can connect multiple devices
delivery to your location or pick up from airport
comes with power bank

Cons:
low grade coverage in some mountain areas (might be just general Japanese cell coverage and not device related)
in a few towns had to reset the device a few times as it was losing connectivity and was losing link to paired devices too

I traveled Tokyo twice. For both travels, We used Japan Wireless. On first one we ordered it to hotel and the second one we picked it up in airport. Both was really easy. Rented for 14 days, although it loses connection on some parts of Fukuoka it searches for signal and reconnects immediately. The customer support is superb and extremely understanding which I cannot commend enough. I will gladly rent from them again when I come back to Japan.

I've never used a portable wifi before. With so much research I came across Japan Wireless. This wireless WiFi came with unlimited WiFi and a portable power bank in case you run out of juice. The whole time I was out, I never really had to worry about charging it, but kept the backup in case. This was such a great service and their customer service is always ready to help!

Got this for my one week trip and it worked perfectly well. This is a good choice for those whose phones do not allow them to get esims.
