Using the pocket wifi provided by japan wireless turned out to be both easy and convenient as we traveled across the country! I had no issues and even sometimes preferred the pocket wifi to our AirBnb's.

The pocket wifi lasted me the whole day even though I used 2 devices. It was also really fast and I'm thankful for the charger that is provided because I could charge my phone, too, when it died. Would use the service again :)
Everything worked exactly as promised. Pick-up from Narita Airport went smoothly. We used it for Google Maps - no paper maps required - for messaging - no phone calls required - and for uploading photos from our phones to social media - no computers required! We would recommend Japan Wireless to anyone visiting Japan.

Tutto perfetto. Busta con il router ritirata in hotel. Istruzioni semplici (in inglese), connessione sempre presente e veloce (Tokyo) nel kit era compresa anche una batteria per la ricarica e quindi nessun problema di autonomia.
We rented a MiFi for 10 days and it went smoothly.
Easy to use the website and order a mobile wifi. How it will work in practice remains to be seen!
Me and my family used this service exclusively when we were out and about in japan. We did not use cellular service at all for data or voice. It was great. I am returning to japan in the fall will use it again.
