IF you are looking for something reliable and wil work out of the box, definitely reccomend the wifi box. I would suggest bring your own power Bank the one included died with in minutes so we never really used it. The pocket wifi lasted us about 5-8 hours so had to charge it during our outings but that was no issue.
I used this on top of my esim for emergencies and I'm glad I did!

Had 4 devices on this WiFi and never struggled with capacity or battery. We were often out for 12/13 hours a day and it lasted just about without needing the battery pack. But nice to have that there as a back up. A couple of occasions where the signal dropped out for a few minutes but it reconnected itself. Really easy for everyone to get connected and had done so within a few minutes of collecting the WiFi at the station. Glad we got it.

The wifi was easy to catch and send back at the airport and function perfectly well during my 11 days travel.

We used Japan Wireless on our month long trip to Japan and we were not disappointed. The coverage and the speeds were great so we never ran out of access to data wherever we went in Japan. The pick up and drop off was also smooth and simple. We'd defineitly use Japan Wireless again when we return!
