I loved the wifi box! It made travelling in Japan very easy and convenient. It was also reasonably priced. Drop aloft at the airport is a great idea. Thank you!
Product:Premium WifiI was very pleased with entire experience from purchase, eSIM activation, and usage from Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto and Osaka. Japan Wireless website was user friendly for English speakers, and the “how to” video was very helpful. Setup and activation was easy at Haneda using the airport wireless service. I would use Japan Wireless again the next time I’m I visit Japan.
Product:Japan Wireless eSIMWe used the internet in Japan for 20 days and it worked in every place- even mount Fuji and subways
Product:Japan Wireless eSIMVery easy to order and return. Supported our family of four throughout the trip and was small enough to carry around in a backpack along with the spare battery. Will definitely use again on future trips.
Product:Premium WifiSo the instant you step outside your hotel or leave the train station, your US phone will stop working on the internet and you will not be able to follow along on your route on maps, and you won't be able to search locations, and you won't be able to use Google Translate on that mysterious Japanese sign, etc. Therefore a portable wifi is very useful for traveling in Japan. This one worked pretty well (a few dead spots in Hokkaido, Sapporo, Toyama, and other mountainous areas) and I would say the biggest problem is the battery life. It would routinely run out of power about 3 pm (hence the utility of carrying along the supplemental battery and charging cord with you at all times.) But it's still worth it, better than a Japanese SIM card if your phone is locked, and especially worth it if you are not very confident in Japanese yet you need to navigate public busses, walking trails, etc. You can link a bunch of phones to it as well (and it works, as long as your family is all in proximity to the person with the wifi.) We had some problems with the boys maxing out the data while gaming, but once we put a few rules in place, this did not happen again. Free wifi sites can be few and far between in Japan, especially outside the tourist areas. Having your own portable wifi really helps.
Product:Premium WifiWorked perfectly, good battery durability
Product:Premium WifiOnce I understood how to set the sim, everything went smoothly. I always had signal, even when traveling in the underground metro. 10 out of 10.
