I went to so many places with this pocket wifi and it never let me down. ( my favorite being near the mountains at lake toya, Hokkaido). When I come back to Japan, I will be getting this service in a heartbeat.

I have a Japan eSIM attached to my phone as I live here at the moment, but in certain areas, the reception is really lacking. I got the WiFi to supplement the eSIM. I had zero problems with the WiFi device and zero problems with anything that I needed to look up with my phone. It’s not only good for visitors but also residents who experience lack of service in certain areas while traveling. I have service I all areas of Japan with the eSIM, but in certain areas it is really slow. The WiFi helped to avoid that when visiting other areas.

Works on mountainous areas when skiing. Strong battery life and great connection without issues

The portable wifi worked well for our trip. It is a bit cumbersome to carry along with the charger. It lasts about 6-7 hrs if you are using your cell phone navigation app thru out the day.

I got this pocket wifi for our travel in Japan. Very easy set up and gave seamless connectivity to multiple phones. Excellent network throughout our Japan trip. They also provide battery back up. Easy pick up and drop off at the airport.
