Very reliable internet access!

Works as advertised and minimal setup required. Battery life is around 8 hours of infrequent use for checking messages, looking up directions and translating phrases. The Wifi device comes with a supplementary battery pack to extend the service of the device. For heavy-use, like streaming HD video, expect 2-3 hours only.

Pick-up and drop-off were both very smooth and hassle-free. I love that you just have to drop it off in a mailbox (although finding the mailbox in Haneda's check-in terminal was a challenge). The unit itself has a nice and small size that can easily fit in your pocket or a bag, and it's easy and intuitive to operate. The WiFi it delivers was plenty for the two devices we had connected to it, and the range is also decent. The only problem we had was that the connection would freeze up sometimes when we were both streaming Netflix on our devices, but it was easily resolved either by just waiting a bit or rebooting the WiFi unit. It never happened while we where out, using it for googling or maps, though, so I can't fault it too much for that. All in all a good product with a good price tag.

Easy pickup, great wifi, long lasting battery,no problems at all

I ordered the device online and had it delivered to my hotel the next day. It worked flawlessly during entire trip and then I dropped it off at the airport mailbox on the last day. The price was very affordable, too. Just need to remember to charge it every night for the next day.

This portable wifi worked really well. My husband and I kept our phones on airplane mode the whole time and just stayed connected to this wifi (unless we were at the hotel); we only needed one unit for the 2 of us. This allowed us to use Google maps and Google translate whereever we were, without having to get a local phone or SIM.

Japan wireless provided a WiFi router for our recent two week trip. A brilliant solution for a group of 4 from the UK. Very easy to order, pick up, use and return. Excellent coverage and strong signal everywhere we went. Highly recommend and much easier than all of us buying local sim cards.

I ordered this less than 24 hours prior to our arrival to be delivered in our hotel. We arrived 9 pm and the pocket wifi was delivered early that day. The wifi signal is strong everywhere, very light and battery lasted all day. I returned in via mail in the airport. Very convenient. Hassle free.
