Japan Wireless' pocket wifi is highly recommended for those on the go in Tokyo and other cities. It worked even in Kawaguchiko near Mt. Fuji.

This service worked really well. They send the device and a powerbank at the hotel reception and the wifi worked perfectly in every moment of the holiday. The device is very friendly user.

No complaints about this service. It was easy to pick up the wireless device at the airport and it worked flawlessly through our whole trip across southern Japan. My sister, who was unhappy that she bought a sim card instead, shared my wifi with no noticeable issues for either of us. Although they included an external power source, we never needed it because the device had enough juice for our daily usage. It was also easy to return in the provided pre-paid envelope.
