Worked perfectly on our 10 trip to Japan. Returned the device in a pre-paid envelope at my hotel prior to departure.

Pickup and drop were very easy. Setup was easy. We liked having a second battery for long days out seeing the sites. Coverage area was pretty good. We used it as our primary wifi but did use our phone carrier on occasion when we were both not on the hot spot. Ended up costing us sixty bucks on our phone plan plus the cost of the wifi. Our choice to do so. Totally worth it for 12 days in Japan and having full communication. Only issue we had was some overheating on the unit. We were visiting in July and the heat was brutal. Having it in a backpack was too hot for it on a couple days. So I carried it in my pocket and that helped. Not a slight to the unit, our phones were cooking too. Great overall experience. I would use Japan wireless again if I go back.

When my friend told me that I should rent a pocket WiFi for our two weeks in Japan, I thought they were crazy! Every place I found was expensive with barely enough coverage for our family of four. Then I read a travel blog that mentioned Japan Wireless being the best and most affordable and they were right! We had amazing coverage from Osaka to Tokyo and we never had to use the portable battery during the day as long as we charged it at night.

My trip in Japan was a success mainly because I was able to be online 24/7!

The product work great for the duration of a 3 week trip, pick up and drop off was easy. It worked better than my international plan.

It worked awesome for me and I could get internet everywhere I went. Installing it was also easy just make sure to Install before arriving in Japan so you can use it right away.
