Using the pocket wifi was one of the best choices I made for my trip. It allowed me to manage my trip needs with ease - from checking maps and locations to keeping in touch with companions. I was glad I had it. Collecting it and returning were incredibly easy. I would definitely recommend this to other es.

I really can use it everywhere, but I had a problem in Karumai, Iwate, Japan. Sometimes it failed inside stores and I didn't know why and the power bank discharge so fast.
Product：Premium Wifi
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us! We are glad to hear that your Japan Wireless pocket WiFi gave you reliable connection across most of your journey.
At the same time, we sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered in Karumai, Iwate. Signal drops inside certain buildings or stores can sometimes happen due to structural shielding (such as thick concrete or metal framing) which blocks cellular radio frequencies from reaching indoor spaces, especially in quieter or rural towns.
We also appreciate you bringing the power bank’s battery drainage to our attention. Our team tests accessory equipment regularly, and we will inspect our power banks to ensure they hold a strong charge throughout the day.
We deeply value your honest review, and we look forward to providing you with an even smoother experience on your next trip to Japan!
Please know that T-Mobile Mobile only says it works in Japan. It doesn't actually.

Randomly the device would loose all signal. I would restart the device & still no signal. Each time it would last 10 minutes give or take time. The signal icon would have letters & when I google searched they would pertain with device or connection issues. The device would also get concerningly hot if it was in any bag or enclosure. I made a elastic hair band mount for the outside of my backpack to keep it cool. This did not improve the dropped signal. I started putting it in the mount on the 2nd day of having the device. When it did work properly I had great service & internet connection with good upload & download speeds. It was functional in every area we went north & south of Tokyo. Work well on trains & in subways. Very happy with the price & value.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed review with us. We are glad to hear that you were pleased with the pricing, value, and reliable speeds across Tokyo and inside the subways when connected.
We also appreciate your feedback regarding device temperature and signal reconnection. Pocket WiFi routers naturally generate warmth while continuously transmitting high-speed data, especially inside bags where ventilation is limited. However, temporary signal drops or system resets can sometimes occur when devices switch between cell towers or experience heavy data loads.
Our technical team regularly inspects and services our equipment to ensure optimal performance and battery health. If you ever experience signal interruptions during a future trip, please reach out to our customer support team right away so we can assist with remote troubleshooting or arrange a swift replacement.
We deeply appreciate your honest feedback, and we look forward to providing you with an even smoother experience on your next visit to Japan!
Good internet. Having the option of plugging in two USB into the charger was a nice bonus. The device even managed to last until I got to the hotel, so I did not even need to use the extra battery.
