I used the JW e-SIM on a recent trip which included six days hiking part of the Nakasendo Trail in rural Honshu. I was incredibly impressed with the quality of coverage, which was consistently 4-5G. There was only one time when I lost coverage, but it was only for maybe 30minutes!

I had no issues using their pocket wifi. I used it for 10 days, while I visited Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka with my friends. So easy set up and so easy to return. I returned the package at the Haneda airport mail drop box before my departure.
Device was small and compact and easy to take around anywhere. Connectivity was great and it held its' charge very well.
From landing in Tokyo, the adding of the Japan Wireless eSim was easy and straightforward. The internet coverage worked throughout my stay in Japan, using 4G and 5G. There wasn't a time when I didn't have access. Just so people are aware, the eSim doesn't allow you to make SMS texts or normal phone calls, so if you want to talk to people it needs to be done via WhatsApp/email. This wasn't a problem for me, but might be for others. Overall a great experience over three weeks.
Easy to carry and very helpful.
In my case, when I travel around Japan, I spend lot of hours in the country side so the pocket router is a must to get good internet connection that helps to get connected all day round

I made the order and sent the pocket wifi to the hotel, is also possible to track the movement of the package. Everything worked perfectly in my 2 weeks trip in Japan!
The pocket wifi was amazing for our stay in Japan. Easy to pick up and drop off, and overall had wifi on our whole trip which was amazing and good for google maps and navigating throughout Japan! 10/10 recommend
