I used Japan Wireless for my recent trip, and they made it very easy to pickup (from Haneda airport), use, and return (by mail). Instructions were available in English, and were very straightforward and clear. If you charge the device at the end of each long day, you'll have no issues with connectivity or battery running out. I found the price to be reasonable, and often seemed to be able to load maps/websites faster or more reliably than my traveling companions who were using eSim. I'd gladly recommend and use Japan Wireless again myself in the future.

I am glad I decided to get pocket Wi fi from Japan wireless.
Convenience at your palm.

The whole process of receiving and returning the device was so easy. Having continuous uninterrupted Wi fi is a must, when we rely on it to get just about everything.
The pocket Wi fi is also shareable with travel companion, made it worth the cost.

I highly recommend and will definitely get another one the next time we are back in Japan.

It was a life saver. My mobile roaming was ineffective, therefore we rented the wifi. It is cheap, excellent connection everywhere, fast. We could connect 5 different devices at the same time without any lag.

This was 4th time that I used Japan wireless, and it was reliable service as usual.
I wandered if you have any discount for repeat users.

Used the QR code for setup for the first 3GB. Had to buy more data after some days and it worked just as smooth to use the manual setup.

Very easy to use! Glad to have this on our trip.

I had not used pocket wifi in the past but since we had a group traveling this time, having wifi access was helpful in looking up directions and information on the spot. Two of us in the group had pocket wifi (from Japan Wireless) so we were able to back each other up if the group split up or battery power was low.

We found the battery backup to be helpful since we were on the go all day.

The Japan Wireless service was very affordable and very easy to use. Pick up and drop off is quick and easy. The post office workers recognize it right away. Just drop it into a mail bin, no need to wait in line. The only downside is the battery pack it provided is on a smaller side, only 5000mAh. With a 10,000mAh battery pack, the wifi hotspot can work for a whole day while you are exploring Japan.
