I always use the service when I go to Japan. I had to extend a few days and it was so easy.

this is my 2nd time using this service
never really had any problems
the battery and charge lasts pretty good and i rarely had to use the extra battery. just be sure to charge it overnight for the next day. i found that the unit started to run low battery at about 10 hours of use. so if you are having a long day without charging, be aware of that

Though some remote places like Ise strangle to find network.

It was easy to use and super convenient to have this device. For my entire stay in Japan, I never had to turn my phone on. I left it on airplane mode the entire time. This was a cheap way to use my "older" phone.
