Very effective in Japan I always use it when I visit Japan love Japanese culture and its people !

I picked up the pocket wifi at the Tokyo location and was able to use it throughout Japan for the 2 week duration we were here. No interruption between the 3 of us. The return was also very easy, as they have provided a pre-label envelope, which allowed us to place the return package in the postbox located in the airport. Very convenient, very easy, very affordable. Definitely recommend!

It was great, easy to set up, and can connect everyone's devices for a family outing.

I had trouble finding the tiny kiosk at Haneda when I went to pick up but the pocket wifi worked great after that and I loved that I can mail it back in the included, prestamped and addressed envelope as we flew out from Osaka at the end of our trip.

booked the service out of Europe in advance. everything was at Narita available upon arrival. We were up and running as soon at we in the train to Tokyo. the devices' battery (used with 2 connections) lasted at least a full day of traveling. Powerbank as back-up and charging cable + connector supplied. Easy return back at the airport and confirmation when the device was returned. HIGHLY recommended

For my second trip to Japan I hired the premium wifi device. It was great to have it the first time back in 2018 and it was a no brainer to hire it again back in april. It is very useful to have internet and to be able to google, whatsapp and specially to use google maps, so you don't waste anytime getting lost.
The service is great, you can choose to pick up the device at the airport or it can be delivered at your hotel. I chose the latter and it was already there when we checked in. You drop it at any postal office before you leave the country. We dropped it at the post office at Narita Airport.
Very convenient, so I highly recommend it.

I bought an esim prior to arriving in Japan and loaded it up as per the instructions (ie did not activate). Just to be sure I had understood exactly what you should and should not do before arriving in Japan, I contacted Japan Wireless customer services by email and they responded very promptly and provided clear and thorough answers to my questions. I followed the instructions and switched on my esim on arrival at Kansai airport and was connected immediately. Throughout our 17 days in Japan I had perfect reception, even in the Japanese Alps. I would highly recommend this esim
