I did use a prepaid SIM data card from Japan Wireless it is the best option to be communicated in Japan

Will use again when I return to Japan. Made my visit so much easier!

The wifi unit we used worked well. Efficient service. Unit was at our Kyoto hotel when we arrived. We were able to mail it back to Japan Wireless from our Tokyo hotel. Very convenient.

The wifi speed was quick, and the battery lasted most of the day (not an issue if it ran out, because of the portable battery charger). Also easy to carry everything around in the bag.
My only complaint is that there were a few times when the device couldn't find a signal? Not entirely sure what was wrong, but I would have no wifi access for between 20 minutes and 2 hours, until it managed to reconnect. This happened in urban areas, where there should have been a wifi signal.
Otherwise, a great product, would recommend!

Japan wireless router worked flawlessly. Easy to install. I would highly recommend to family & friends visiting Japan.

Used this for over 2 weeks in Japan. Easy to collect and drop back at the end and product worked perfectly for whole time with no issues. Highly recommend.
