The device provided good wifi service throughout our trip in Japan.

April 2024, 4 of us used the pocket router for 2 weeks. We traveled from Tokyo to Osaka and in between. I keep the route on me will travel and had no issues. I do recommend you keep it fully charged if possible. The only issue was the spare battery that was provided would not charge and I couldn't use it. I had the router mailed to our hotel prior to our arrival in Narita. I highly recommend it.

Last month, I had the opportunity to use Japan Wireless for a pocket WiFi rental during my travels in Japan. Here's my comprehensive review based on my experience.

Pickup and Return Process:
The process of picking up and returning the device was incredibly smooth. Conveniently located at the airport, the pickup counter was easy to find right after I landed. Similarly, returning the device was just as straightforward, making the whole experience hassle-free.

During my visit to Japan in April 2024, I searched the WiFi service availability on the go.
I found this device, the ease of use and collection-Return process extremely consumer friendly.
I would use Japan wireless and recommend it any time.

Worked as it should. Came in very handy while traveling.

Pocket wifi pick up was easy to pick up and use. It was also nice because I didn't have to worry about how much data I was using especially since Google Maps uses a lot.

Great coverage and nice to have the ability to share with your group with multiple devices but not too good when one of you likes to wander and explore and they don’t have a separate eSIM/ international sim or international roaming on because they will be totally without internet unless you give them the portable wi fi and hopefully the rest of you have your own international roaming working properly or just grab some free wi fi somewhere or back to the hotel, also not so cheap from memory but it’s our first time in Japan so never really tried other options to compare to. great service though since the portable wi fi was delivered to the hotel directly so I didn’t have to line up at their pick up location and I just put the device back into their included return envelope and popped in a Japan post box at the airport before we left
