Convenient and Wifi was at hotel when we checked in

Very good product specially the battery and the 4G

Great for a traveling family. Carried in my pocket all day. Connection was reliable and fast. We used in Tokyo, Hakone, Takayama, Kanazagwa, and other locations small and large. My iphone has been on airplane mode for ten days — using only wifi. Note: pocket wifi does not last all day on heavy use so it is important to have a power bank and cable for a quick charge — but my iphone needed this too, especially with lots of google translate activity.

From the beginning to the end of our Tokyo holiday, we had nothing but great experience with Tokyo Wireless. I placed the order at such a short notice but they were still able to deliver ahead of time for pick up upon our arrival at the airport. The staff at the counter was friendly and was able to answer my questions in English.
My main concern was losing the signal while in the subway as I was relying heavily on Google Maps and the internet while navigating to our itineraries and spur of the moment trip detours. No sweat! We didn’t lose our 4G connection throughout our travels. The battery life of the unit is very good, too. It lasted about 10hrs every single charge, with the four of us constantly using our cellphones while outside.
I was very pleased with Japan Wirless. It was very reliable and economical. My data in the USA includes free roaming in quite a few countries, but I still preferred to use the pocket wifi to avoid the hassle of intermittently losing connection. I will certainly use Japan Wireless again on our next trip to Japan.

The pocket Wifi unit I rented was reliable and worked well without any hiccups. I would recommend Japan Wireless and use them the next time I'm in Japan.

We had the WiFi device delivered to our hotel and it was there waiting for us when we checked in. Speed and coverage were both great as we traveled all over Tokyo, including in the subways. Returning was easy - just put everything in the prepaid envelope they provide and hand it to the post office on the 4th floor at Narita. I will definitely rent from Japan Wireless on future trips.

As an engineer, I appreciate good electronics, this was PERFECT. 11 days, $94, June 2019. Speed test showed 30 Mb/s although my daughter was using it at the time. Do NOT USE Verizon travel pass, 500 meg limit then 100x slower. It bricks at 10 am. Rent this! Deliver to your hotel, love this product. Mail it back at airport or last hotel.
