Excellent product, excellent service.

Our family of four be used this service while traveling throughout Japan and it worked flawlessly. We would definitely go this route again.

I highly recommend the Hotspot from Japan Wireless. Unlike the other company I entrusted during my last Japan trip, I give JW an exemplary rating!

Great experience and very easy to use. The hardest part was figuring out where in the airport to pick up/ drop off since it was my first time in Tokyo, and I don't speak/ understand Japanese. Next time will be easier.

Ritiro all'aeroporto, ufficio postale. Si collega subito al telefono. In dotazione anche presa con ingresso USB, power bank e cavo. Usato per 20 giorni, mai dato problemi. Consigliatissimo. Io l ho riconsegnato all'aeroporto.

this little dude is a must have if you're going to japan. the battery life is great and the connection was perfect. it only disconnected twice in the whole trip and it reconnects fairly quickly.

It was nice to use your smartphone without limits (just like you would do in your hometown). I ordered it online through Japan wireless because the first days we didn't had internet...it was a hassle to look up where you could hire this thing (and ordering through japan wireless was delivery on the next day at your hotel). So tip for people that are already in the city (if you didn't pick up at the airport) you can order a Japan wireless and get it delivered to your Hotel...that's very convenient...also you don't have to be physically there. The package will get delivered at the reception desk and you can pick it up at any time.
we used Social media, Googlemaps to search our sightseeings, looked things up if we wanted more information, used Google translate to employees that do not know english

We travelled from Osaka, Kyoto to Nagoya and had no problems with connecting to wifi.
the only downside is the battery (10 hour-ish) but they give you a free battery charger so you can extend it at least for a couple of more hours. So in my opinion 10 hours is not enough...you start your day in the morning and won't come back to your hotel probably till the end of the evening (so that is 12+ hours away). but the charger does the trick...

Returning the item is also easy. just post put it in the envelope that came with your package and seal it (throw it in a post box). they are everywhere in japan (little red post boxes)...you can also mail it at the Airport (Kansai, Osaka).

All in all i would recommend these small pocket wifi devices because you just don't want to hassle around with free wifi. Translating and initiating Google maps is what you really need during a vacation!

It was an extremely handy tool to use during our trip to Japan. It even works better then most hotel WiFi.
