The Wifi worked very well and was a reasonable cost. It was waiting for us when we arrived at our hotel. Mailing it back in the return envelope was very easy. Well done!

Thankful we did use Japan wireless , services are amazing! We can never be out of reach from home.

Very useful to have your own portable wifi. Easy to arrange with Japan Wireless and pick up/drop off. One concern is relatively short battery life. You have to recharge every day

My husband and I both used the rental Wifi unit for 12 days and used Google Maps and Wifi frequently throughout the day. We found the Wifi typically lasted until late afternoon, but having the backup battery was very helpful so we always had coverage. The Wifi worked on the Shinkansen and other trains and the pickup/dropoff process was very easy. I would rent a Japan-Wireless unit the next time I travel to Japan!

The whole process is pretty easy and straight forward - book and rent online, pick up pocket wi-fi package at airport post office, use as needed, pack in prepaid envelope and drop off at airport post office before leaving Japan. Connectivity was consistent. Did not have any problems connecting at all. The only thing I'll mention to would-be renters is that the pocket wi-fi does get relatively warm to hot while in use for extended time. It's probably best to have the pocket wi-fi away from any temperature-sensitive items you may have. If there is a way for the pocket-wifi to stay cool during use, it would be perfect!
