The title says it all. We rented a portable WiFi device for two weeks while traveling between Tokyo and Kyoto and it never let us down, even when hiking through rural areas. We had fast, steady service at all times. The device itself was very easy to activate and return, and we appreciate that it came with an additional charging device. Overall, we had a great experience renting from Japan Wireless; they’ll be our go-to provider the next time we visit.

This was a very good solution to be always connected in Japan where WiFi is not always available. There was an extra battery to charge the phone and to charge the pocket WiFi and been out all day was really practical, is difficult to find a socket of energy in restaurant or cafes, they don’t let use their electric energy. I had with me one more extra battery charger, so with one I was charging the phone and with the other I was charging the pocket WiFi.
I don’t know why sometimes the pocket WiFi was disconnected and was really hot, but it’s very easy to use it and you just have to press one time on the bottom and swipe your finger on the screen from bottom to top and the connection works again.
I definitely suggest to use Japan-wireless pocket WiFi to search things in internet, for google maps(even if now is not working so well in Japan) and to comunicate with people using the translator or jus write messages to your friends.

Very usefull to have unlimited wifi to visit Japan!

We were two connected on the wireless.Sometimes my phone disconnect for no reason.so we were obliged to restart the pocket wifi.Otherwise everything were fine

Used the two times I travelled to Japan, once for 4 weeks the other for 1 week. Super simple and easy, great customer service.
