The Pocket WiFi worked great and we traveled a great portion of Japan. I had an incident where I had to deal with customer service and they were also very helpful.

For the price, I think you'd be hard pressed to find as good as a deal as japan wireless.

We ordered the 4G box for our 15 days trip across Japan. Delivery and return is hassle-free, 4G coverage everywhere in the country. Most of our usage was for Google Maps since everything is on it (train schedule, locations, etc...).

If you want internet during your trip in Japan, I highly recommend Japan Wireless.

We rented one of these devices for over two weeks and it never lost signal once. We went to 4 different cities across Japan and this device allowed us to travel efficiently on our own and use multiple devices at one time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling in Japan to stay connected with loved ones and to get around with your own mobile device.
