Ordered before arrival in Tokyo.
Easy to obtain in the airport upon arrival, which was helpful for getting to our accommodations.
Packaging was supplied for return, so that was very convenient.
Our extra battery pack didn't seem to work. I'm not sure if that was operator error. We had a personal charger so it was not a problem for us.

Rented one of these units for a 10-day trip in Japan. Was mostly in the tokyo area and in and around Saitama. It worked great throughout.. Though I think that the included usb-c-to-a cable was not working, I had a bunch of other cables with me so it wasn't an issue.. Plus you can get cables at daiso or other 100-yen shop if needed.

After experiencing some issues with our first Pocket Wi-Fi, we were sent a replacement free of charge very quickly. We sent a few emails and had quick, polite responses every time. Would use again!

The device is very stable, connection signal is good even in closed environments; battery duration is pretty long, we needed the powerbank just a few times and for a short time. We had 3-4 family devices connected. I strongly suggest it for visiting Japan

I was more than satisfied with my choice of using wireless Japan's premium wifi for an entire year. I traveled around the archipelago with it for 12 months, never facing any issues. I used it for my phone and laptop during my university year. I could also hook up my friends who were visiting throughout the year to it (the premium plan can provide many devices simultaneously). It was also very convenient to get it delivered to my hotel upon my arrival and drop it at my local post office before leaving. Overall, an enjoyable experience. I am considering relying on their services again when I return to Japan.
