Wifi connection was working very well and stable in the Tohoku region. Translator was a nice add-on and helpful despite producing sometimes funny and also misleading translations - it needs to be understood that this technology is just evolving, yet i would not want to miss it during my travels. If you are traveling with family and need to connect few devices at any given point, this pocket wifi is a must in Japan. We are family of four with multiple iPhones and never have problem getting connections around Japan, even when traveling between cities in bullet trains.

It’s very convenient and efficient picking up the devices. The instruction about how to return is clear and easy to follow. Connection is pretty good and battery is excellent. We had three phones connecting to the device all day without any issue. Battery lasts long. We didn’t even need to use the power bank once during our trip in Japan.
The pocket Wi-Fi came in handy so many times while on our holiday in Japan, especially for finding the right trains and places to eat. Without it I’m sure we’d have gotten lost. Worked perfectly well the whole time, picking it up and dropping it off was also very convenient and easy.
I rented two units for my family's 2-week stay in Fukuoka. The pick-up and return was so easy, we had no problems using the units and they were a huge help whenever the group split up.
It is easy to pickup and drop off at the airports. The wifi signal was decent in the big cities. The signal was weak in remote areas.
