I used it while site seeing in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. It had good coverage.Pick up and returning by posting it at airport was easy.

Everything booked in advance. My router was waiting for me at my hotel. It works perfectly for 3 mobile phones and 1 PC. Very useful to visit a city and get access to all maps and advices online. Street names are really not easy in japan for an european brain. Internet helps a lot

I rented the portable WiFi for my parents, this is my second time renting from Japan Wireless. We traveled in and around Tokyo, Osaka, Okayama, Hiroshima and Miyajima - there was no coverage loss. Along the way, the portable device stopped working, I emailed their customer support team and I was given clear instructions on how to solve my issue - this is really what we are looking for, especially in a foreign country, the customer service support is there. Will definitely rent from Japan Wireless again for my next trip to Japan and of course, recommendations to friends and family.

It was amazing the portable wifi was able to last all day during our outing and if I needed to be charged they have given us an external charger
