I've used Japan Wireless about a dozen times now. Speeds a good, and there's no throttling as promised. My couple of interactions with customer service have been excellent. I'll continue being a loyal customer!
I've used Japan Wireless the last 3 times I went to Japan and haven't had any issues. I chose to use JW because of their unlimited data. There is no cap or getting throttled after a certain number of Gigs. They also include a battery charger for those long days. They are cheaper in comparison to other companies.
Since JW uses SoftBank, you'll be connected pretty everywhere in Japan. I think they also have upgrade their pocket wifi since the first time I used the service. I've been able to connect at Fushimi Inari climbing up the mountain. It was spotty but I wasn't expecting to be able to connect at all.
I've had to contact customer service the very first time. They were very accommodating and helpful with my issues during ordering process. I have no complaints.
Overall Japan Wireless has been excellent through all my experiences with them. I will continue to use JW when I go to Japan again in the fall.
Never failed me, used 80gb while there no issues
The product is worth getting when visiting Japan. It is very easy to use and has directions as well as troubleshooting. It is so convenient to be connected to the world at your fingertips during your stay in Japan! It was also easy for me to pick up the item in Osaka, take a bullet train, and drop off in Tokyo as I departed Japan! A must have!
The pocket wifi set was really great! Wifi last typically the whole day, plus they give you a spare portable battery (which I really appreciated).
The only problem was, I ran into quite a lot of deadzones (which are places that the wifi doesnt work well or works very slowly).
For example, in the shinkansen, the wifi was very slow and also in some subways.
But apart from this, I really liked the wifi!
Used them before in Japan. Easy to set up and worked like a charm.

The best wireless network in Japan. Love their delivery service. Very convenient. Plus their internet speed is always fast! Highly recommend using Japan Wireless.

Very cost competitive. Great connectivity in Tokyo. Easy pick-up and drop-off. Would be great if they did not charge the extra fee for pick up at the non post office location at Narita arrival.
