We had a great experience with Japan wireless. Their portable wifi hotspot worked great wherever we traveled in Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, and Osaka. Picking up and dropping off the equipment was easy at Narita Airport's post office. The price was also very affordable, much cheaper than paying for cellular data through our AT&T phone plans from America.
I'd highly recommend using Japan Wireless for any travelers visiting Japan!
