I was in Japan for 2 weeks, and a friend recommended I get a personal WiFi from Japan Wireless. Another friend who went right before me told me she wished she'd gotten one. So I signed up for it. Couldn't have been easier! It was in my room when I arrived at my first hotel, worked flawlessly for the 2 weeks, and was dropped of at the desk at the last hotel I was at. The *only* worry was keeping it charged (which is normal and expected)! Otherwise, I had access to *good* WiFi throughout my trip, on the bus, on the train, wherever we were. Perfect!

SIM was sent to my hotel address within announced timeline, regardless my very last minute order. Instal indications, were clear and concise.
Ideal solution for single user during short stays in Japan. Had no connectivity concerns, really nothing to complain about.

Having visited Japan many times it is difficult to find free wi-fi when out and about. We tried the Premium Wi-Fi from Japan Wireless and it was excellent. It was delivered to our hotel and we were connected to the internet continuously throughout our trip. We had 5 devices connected and were a always able to use it to look up train timetables and search for information at anytime. You just post it back in the prepaid envelope before you leave Japan. Highly recommended.

I ordered this service before my trip, when I was still in the United States. The wifi unit was waiting for me in my hotel room when I arrived in Japan. The unit was dry easy to use, and it worked perfectly and I always had WiFi available wherever I went. I used WiFi calling and messaging so I didn’t get charged for any international calls made back to the US on my data calling plan. The battery lasted all day, and they even included an extra charged battery just in case I needed it. When it was time to return the unit, I just enclosed the unit in the included mail envelope and dropped it in the mail box at the airport before my flight back home. It was easy. I will definitely use this service again. It was an outstanding experience.

This is our second trip to Japan and our second time renting a portable WiFi from Japan Wireless! Makes travel in Japan so easy and the rental process is so convenient! Love it!
