Only issue when we were in the bullet train, there are times where connection was slow and stopped. But overall, we did not had any big issue and connection was really good

I always rent my pocket wifi from Japan Wireless. It's always there waiting for me at my hotel or my daughter's residence. Spare battery always helps and I usually leave from Fukuoka International airport and they have a Japan post box on the ground floor..so convenient.

Easy to use and convenient. Allowed my whole family access to WiFi on our trip.

Bought this as a first time wifi device while in Japan. I had it shipped to my first hotel which handed it well over when I arrived. The box came with the return all set up as well (airport has a box for it). It came with charger cable and a small power bank.
Travelled to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, miyajima, Okayama, Tottori, Yanago, Hakone and many more spots. Only had issues once while in Tokyo. (Needed to remove sim to reset device).
As I didn't see an esim option with unlimited data. This worked perfectly for my trip. Will definitely use this service again when I visit Japan (hopefully soon) in the future.

Package will be waiting at your destination with clear instructions to use and return. I had additional requirements on adaptors and requested for a fully charged pack and there it was. We had a wonderful experience with Japan Wireless. In the hustle and bustle of picking up our luggage, I forgot to pick up our pocket wifi from the airport. My hotel contacted Japan Wireless and they promptly delivered the device to my hotel the same day at a very low fee. Such great service. Device was also very reliable, shared amongst 3 users.
